According to Academic Calendar examination sessions in the winter semester 2023/2024 take place on the following dates:
- from 29 January to 11 February 2024 – winter examination session,
- from 19 to 25 February 2024 – winter make-up examination session.
Exam dates for the winter semester have been set and published on the faculty website.
Curriculum Exam in Foreign Language for 1st year students of Bachelor degre
The curriculum exam in foreign language for 1st year students of Bachelor degree will be held on 27 January 2024 at the Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science of the University of Lodz (ul.Pomorska 149/153) at: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM (written part) and 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM (oral part).
Please arrive 15 minutes early and wait for verification on the basis of your identity card or student identity card, allowing you to enter the hall and take the exam.
After the written part, you will be directed to the appropriate rooms. The oral examination takes place in pairs determined by the examiners.

Electronic registration will be available only to the first-year of II degree (MSc) students.
Student is obliged to select one course from the list

The test shall be carried out on the Moodle platform remotely (online via MsTeams) or in an IT lab at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science depending on the course of study.
First approach:
Computer Science (Bachelor degree): 10.01.2024 (Wednesday), 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM PM online
Computer Science (Master degree): 10.01.2024 (Wednesday), 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM PM online
Second approach:

ALL FIRST YEAR STUDENTS OF BACHELOR DEGREE ARE OBLIGED TO TAKE A PLACEMENT TEST (DIAGNOSTIC TEST) EVALUATING THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE MODERN FOREIGN LANGUAGE.
Placement tests is available on the Moodle platfrom between 30 October 2023 and 22 December 2023.
THE DEADLINE FOR COMPLETING THE PLACEMENT TEST AND SUBMITTING ALL DECLARATIONS AND APPLICATION LETTERS TO THE STUDENT OFFICE IS : 30.11.2023

All students of the first year of Bachelor degree and the first year of Master degree who begin their studies in the academic year 2023/2024 are obliged to take and pass OSH course 2023/24, Training course in copyright 2023 and Library training 2023.
The courses are available from October 2023 on Moodle platform.

According to Academic Calendar didactic classes in the winter semester start on 3 October 2023 and last until 28 January 2024.

Individual class schedules for the winter semester 2023/2024 are also available on USOSWeb platform.
Students are asked to check the schedule before each class due to changes that may occur for reasons unrelated to the faculty.
TOKEN REGISTRATION FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES in the winter semester 2023/2024 starts on the 25th September 2023 at 9.00 AM and finishes on the 15th October 2023 at midnight.
Students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science should choose PE classes on Thursdays from 7:30am to 12:00pm, as there are no other classes scheduled during this time.
PE classes start on the 3rd October 2023 although the registration will be open longer.

Electronic registration will be available to I degree (BSc) and II degree (MSc) students.
Students are obliged to select elective courses for the winter semester 2023/2024 and the summer semester 2023/2024.
Students are obliged to check the list of elective courses – Electives 2023/2024.
Students are obliged to make a choice according to the study programme, the year of study and the ECTS credits.
If a student has not registered electronically, they must contact us by email or in person.

Student is obliged to enrol for Electives, Degree Projects and Team Project during electronic registration in the USOS system.
If the student has not registered electronically, the student must contact us by e-mail or in person.
Repeated courses enrolment is possible until the first 2 weeks of the semester.
From the 3rd week of the semester, the student must obtain the consent of the teacher to be added to the group.
Group change only in justified cases is possible until the first 2 weeks of the semester.
From the 3rd week of the semester onwards, the student must obtain the teacher's permission to join a new group and the teacher's permission to leave the current group.

COSSiS SiD UŁ announces that students may submit applications for the Rector's scholarship for the academic year 2023/2024 via the USOSweb platform between 09.10.2023 and 19.10.2023.
The printed and signed application should be delivered to Student Office of Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science by the deadline indicated above.

On 08/01/2024, instructions for receipt of administrative decisions will be sent to all students who have applied for the rector's scholarship to their email inboxes in the university domain. After receiving the electronic decision within 14 working days, it will be possible to submit an appeal by delivering it in person to theCOSSiS SiD UŁ office at 1 Lumumby Street or by a Post Office mail.
